SUB-FLOORING INSTALLATION SYSTEM

Subtitle Text

SUB-FLOORING INSTALLATION SYSTEM

The subfloor sits on top of the joists. This allows your floors to have a continuous structural surface over the floor joists. There are different materials that can be used for the subflooring. These are wood planks, plywood, OSB (Oriented Strand Board), and concrete.  Although using a subfloor adhesive (or subfloor glue) is not required by code, it is a standard practice that can help prevent floor squeaks by reducing the chance of movement at the panel-to-joist connection. Am-cat uses the tongue and groove system only along the 8-foot edges.
